Digital Safety and STEAM Night
We are very excited about our Digital Safety and STEAM night this Thursday (April 28th) from 5:30-7:30 P.M. This is not a fundraiser of any kind. We do not receive money for this event. We simply want families to come and enjoy a night out together learning about digital safety and participate in fun educational activities. When you arrive, you can take advantage of the great food trucks we have invited. Tables will be set up for dining outside on the north end of the school between the main building and the portables. Please plan to eat outside unless we experience inclement weather. Parking in front of the school is reserved for food trucks and vendors. We encourage families to walk to the event that night if possible. There will be limited parking in the larger parking lot on the south end of the building if needed.
Our main attraction that evening will be guest speakers from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. This session will take place in the gym on 30 minutes rotations starting at 5:30. We would like all families to attend this if possible. As an incentive to attend, students will receive a wristband after the session. The wristband will get them into the activities in the media center.
I have attached a map showing the different activities and vendors we will have that night, along with an engineering activity you can do together at home and test out when you get her.
