Davis School District has proposed boundary changes affecting Bluff Ridge, Buffalo Point, Cook, Island View and Syracuse elementary schools in preparation for the opening of a new elementary school in west Syracuse in August 2026.
The proposed adjustments aim to balance student enrollment, streamline feeder patterns for junior high and high schools and establish boundaries for the new school.
Community members are encouraged to provide feedback through an online form and attend two upcoming public events:
Open House: Sept. 10, 2025, at 6 p.m. at Bluff Ridge Elementary, 2680 S. Bluff Ridge Drive, Syracuse
Public Hearing: Oct. 21, 2025, at 6 p.m., location to be determined. The hearing will precede the Davis School District Board of Education meeting.
