Stewart Elementary Parent Star Report

Dear Stewart Elementary Community,

https://app.smore.com/n/xuw9j

Our August focus is Make It Matter: Start Strong. Starting strong does not mean getting every little thing right on the first day. It means beginning with the habits that help students learn, belong, and take care of one another. Our first two days of school were definitely a strong start to the year.

We appreciate everyone who walked to school. It made such a huge difference in the parking lot and on the roads. Please keep it up all school year long. Even when the construction has finished.

Here are the things you need to know for the week.

  1. Please log into myDSD and make sure that you have signed all available documents.

  2. You can purchase a yearbook and Device Protection now in myDSD. Device protection is available until September 20.

  3. Community Council applications are now available. Currently we only have one application and we have 3 open positions. Please email your application to Principal Yoho (mdaly@dsdmail.net) by August 28 at 4pm.

  4. Stewart Swag shop is now open. All students will be getting a school shirt with this year's theme. But if you want additional swag you can get it at https://offsideapparel.com/stewartelem/shop/home

  5. Free and Reduced Lunch Applications are now available in myDSD.

  6. Parents please do not Door Dash your student lunch. We don't know who the delivery is for and neither do the delivery drivers. If your child has not brought a home lunch they are welcome to have a lunch from the cafeteria.

  7. We are looking for any Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math organizations or businesses that would like to do an activity at our STEAM night on Thursday September 17 from 5-7 pm. Contact Jen Gaerte at jgaerte@dsdmail.net if interested in helping.
