September — Effort Matters
This month, we’re focusing on the power of effort! At Stewart Elementary, we know that success doesn’t always mean getting it right the first time—it means trying, learning, and trying again. We’ll celebrate perseverance, encourage a growth mindset, and recognize students who show outstanding effort. When we give our best, we Make It Matter!
We appreciate everyone who walked to school. It made such a huge difference in the parking lot and on the roads. Please keep it up all school year long. Even when the construction has finished.
Thank you to Julie Hoth, Shad Carlson, and Wendy Jones for volunteering to join our Community Council. We appreciate their willingness. We had 3 spots open so we will not need to have an election at this time.

You can purchase a yearbook and Device Protection now in myDSD. Device protection is available until September 25.
Stewart Swag shop will close on Sunday August 30th. All students have a school shirt with this year's theme. But if you want additional swag you can get it at https://offsideapparel.com/stewartelem/shop/home
Dinner is served at Habit Grill on Monday from 4-9. Be sure to use the code GIVEBACKS to credit Stewart PTA.
Free and Reduced Lunch Applications are now available in myDSD. Please log in and apply even if you are not sure if you will qualify.
We are looking for any Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math organizations or businesses that would like to do an activity at our STEAM night on Thursday September 17 from 5-7 pm. Contact Jen Gaerte at jgaerte@dsdmail.net if interested in helping.
